eni FIM SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (also known as SBK) is the premier international superbike Championship founded in 1988.

Once regarded as the poor cousin to the more glamorous MotoGP championship, the eni FIM SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP has grown into a world-class professional racing series. Many of the riders that competed in SBK over the years are household names among motorcycle racing fans.

The race was once held in Malaysia 20 years ago, and with the success of MotoGP and the ever increasing popularity of two-wheel motorsport, Malaysia through its world-class circuit Sepang International Circuit will be launching and bringing back this exciting world championship in 2014 which will place Sepang as the only round in Asia.
